Drive to Penjikent. The city of Penjikent ("five villages") is located in Sogd region of Tajikistan in a picturesque Zeravshan river valley. Quite possibly the five villages started the history of this remarkable city which originated in the 5th-8th centuries AD. Penjikent of that time was one of the most important cultural and crafts centers of Sogd region. It was even named "Central Asian Pompeii".

Palav or osh, generically known as plov (pilaf), is a rice dish made with shredded yellow turnip or carrot, and pieces of meat, all fried together in vegetable oil or mutton fat in a special qazan (a wok-shaped cauldron) over an open flame. The meat is cubed, the carrots are chopped finely into long strips, and the rice is colored yellow or orange by the frying carrots and the oil. The dish is eaten communally from a single large plate placed at the center of the table, often in with one's hands in the traditional way.

Sarazm settlement – 5500 years, UNESCO sight. The ancient settlement was discovered at the site that lies 15 kilometers towards the west of Panjakent and 45 kilometers towards the east of Samarkand. The initial total area of the monument was 130 hectares. The settlement must have undergone through intensive development for more than 1000 years reaching its apex at the time of late Neolith and early Bronze age. The economics of Sarazm was primarily based on farming livestock raising and handicraft production. At the end of 4 thousand years b.c. Sarazm has become one of the largest states in Central Asia for metallurgy production. This was achieved by the great abundance of gold, silver, copper and tin found in Zeravshan highlands.
Museum of Rudaki – As Penjikent is a birthplace of Abu Abdallah Rudaki, considered by many to be the father of Persian Poetry.
Ancient Penjikent - ruines of old Sogdian town founded in 5th century and abandoned in th 8th century by arabs. Foundations of houses, a citadel with a couple of Zoroastrian fire temples and city bazaar are visible in the excavated ruins.

Drive to Marguzor lakes 70км. Marguzol lakes: Seven beautiful lake. The first lakes name’s Mizhgon (eyelash) - Multi-coloured, one of the most beautiful Marguzor lakes. The Soya (shade) second lake and third lakes Husher (vigilance) at height 1700м. The fourth lakes name’s Nofin length 3,5км, depth 70m. The fifth lakes Hurdak. The sixth lakes Marguzor - length of lake 5км, depth of 80 metres, height on a sea level 2139м. Seventh Lake-Hazorchashma (one thousand sources) at height 2400м, length 4,5км and depth 85м.
Lunch in the 6th lake Marguzor, then start short hiking to 7th lake is Hazorshahma.

Hushtarita valley with it’s 3 beauty lakes Murgobi lake, Soya lake and Obi Safed lake located 3 км far from Gazza village. The best place for active tour, as a hiking and climbing. Rising hike to Murgobi lake (4 km, 2 hours). Resting and walking near the lake. Picnic. Continue hiking to Soya lake 1,5km and then to Bedak camping place (2300m). This area arounded by mountains as a Obshor, Kyrgon, Kantif, Ankyf, Sarpyshak. Walking around, and meet the families, which lives here for summer, and sleeping in the tent, looking after animals and making milk product. Dinner and overnight in the tent.

Gazza one of the remote villages, located 1700m above see level, around by Hamid and Obshor mountains, population about 200 people. Gazza is located in the Fan mountains. Walking and meet local people in the village, exploring how the tajik people lives in the mountains area. Dinner, possible to use Tajik national food and participate for cooking class and overnight in the local guest house.
Breakfast. Breakfast. Hiking via Zurmich valley and pass to Chukurak lake. Chukurak lake is one of the amazing lake in Fan mountains located in the altitude 2300m. Picnic on the way. Dinner and overnight in the tent.
Breakfast. Breakfast. Trekking via Chukurak pass 3200m to Kuli Kalon lakes. Lake kulikalon (big lake) is situated at an altitude of 2,800m, and is the second largest lake (after Iskandarkul) in this area. The lake actually consists of two lakes: bolshoi (large) kulikalon and maly (smaller) kulikalon, which are connected by a channel. The northern shore of the lake is indented with large and small creeks separated by capes and crevices. The lake shores are wooded. The water from maly kulikalon goes underground and emerges again 600m below as the Urech river. The water at the southern end of bolshoi lake is noticeably cooler than at the northern end where it is possible to swim, its color also changes near the shores, it looks as if the black bodies of dead animals lie motionless in the bluish-green water. There are marinka (schizothorax) fish in the lake. Kulikalon means 'big lake' in tajik. Dinner and overnight in the tent.

The Alauddin Lakes are a group of reservoirs upstream in the Pasrud valley. All the lakes are situated on the steps of ancient and modern moraines. Pure, clear water pours from one step into another and the level of water in the lake remains constant. There are no fish in the lakes. Only the most experienced and adventurous will bathe in the water for any length of time since it is very cold.
Breakfast. Mutnye Lakes is a good base camp from which to attempt these cliffs. There is no vegetation in the lakes area; all that exists is rubble.
